Hi.

I’m Megan. I am the mother of three, plant lover, and sporty spice at heart. I am most at peace in the woods which inspired me to start Understory.

The idea for Understory began after making wreaths with friends from pretty foliage we gathered on nature walks.

I wanted everyone to experience how fun and calming it was. And I wanted everyone to see everything I was seeing. Nature has so much to offer.

And the understory, the dimly-lit space between the forest floor and the forest canopy, was the perfect metaphor for what I wanted to encapsulate in my business. Through floral arrangements, wreath making and spiritual services, I wanted to give my clients an opportunity to tap into their own understory; an uncovering of what is just below the surface, all of those overlooked, beautiful parts of us growing in the darkness.

The materials I use are lovingly and responsibly gathered by myself, friends and family. These gathering walks have become an important practice of self-care.

My intention is to provide services that honor the earth, enrich the soul, and foster self-love, healing, and growth.
